Individual therapy should be just what the name suggests, individualized!
In the therapeutic process there is never a "one-size-fits-all" approach. Each person must be understood from a holistic perspective. Health, cognition, development, trauma, race, ethnicity, culture, learning styles and strengths all need to be carefully considered when deciding how best to effect change. Therapy should be filled with a sense of hope and possibility so that individuals can find relief from depression, anxiety, fear and isolation.

I came to Walter feeling isolated, depressed, and confused. All around me it felt like the walls were closing in and I wasn’t going to make it out alive. My relationship with Walter changed everything for the first time in my life I feel connected, engaged, successful, and happy. I actually feel excited for the future and have the confidence and resilience I need to handle whatever it brings.
